Perry Noble Announces Divorce From Wife of 17 Years

At the risk/certainty of saying what is completely obvious, pray for him. It seems pretty obvious that a lot more went on than just having a few too many drinks. And while I don’t need, or want, to know every last detail, the article indicates very clearly that his former church is either looking at different evidence, or is looking at the evidence very differently, Somebody needs to talk to somebody else, and the failure to do so is hurting a lot of people very badly, most notably Perry Noble and his family, as well as the churches he’s served.

I have a number of unsaved friends who use incidents like this as an excuse for rejecting Christianity. One recently was cut off at an intersection while driving by a guy with a New Spring bumper sticker who then proceeded to give him the one-finger salute. Before we say “Well that’s typical of them “, the same people tell stories about us that involve rudeness, pride, arrogance, cheapness (not tipping), bad tempers, in-fighting, and loud denials that we exhibit any of the previously mentioned behaviors.
