Nice cpntrast between the Days of Jonah and Noah. Also a great attitude to take toward the Lord’s return. Nothing new here, but well said.

NewAs Paul writes to Timothy in

Wed, 05/19/21

As Paul writes to Timothy in his second letter to him, he tells him about what would happen in the last days and then implores Timothy to act accordingly. My take is that Paul was suggesting to Timothy that they were already in the last days. Thus I believe we are as well. The difficulty is knowing what that means. Does it simply mean the last half of human history before the new heaven and the new earth? Even if that is what it means (I tend to think that is what Paul meant), we do not know for certain how many years of human history were in the first half or how far into the second half we are. Date setting is a distraction. Not realizing the date could be any day, can end up districting us from the importance of our mission.

NewIs Jesus here? Kind of ... kind of not!

Wed, 05/19/21

The problem is that we lose track of the fact that Christ is already here!

  • Yes in the sense of: “surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20)
  • No in the sense of: “This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven” (Acts 1:11)
